so tomorrow will be my first thanksgiving at home in 3 years. its kind of odd really. i plan to cook and eat a lot of food and probably drink a ton of wine. we just might start out the day with mimosas if i have any say in the matter. and i guess we might as well make it a real california thanksgiving and go in the jacuzzi after dinner. all in all, it should be a pretty good time i guess. i just wish it was just a little bit cooler than 75 degrees out, but oh well. |

so... after cancelling my plan of moving out of my parents house, i am now putting into full effect the go to paris in april plan. it is imperative that i follow through with this plan since i am having severe detrich withdrawals. i might just die if i don't get to paris soon. and you know i can live without the french anything so thats saying a lot.
basically, even though i have to live at home, this coming year could just turn out to be quite spectacular. going to europe, seeing detrich, going to boston, seeing matthew... however unfortunate the circumstances on that one. maybe other fun stuff will happen too. yay.
next order of business.... getting someone to come to san diego and visit me. do it. |

so i went to a baby shower this morning. it was nice and all. i do think its funny though that i've been to baby showers for 3 of my friends in the past couple of years, and not a single bridal shower or wedding. random. One of those friends was married actually, but she just went to Vegas one day and got married. I don't really want to go to any more baby showers this year, so if you all could keep that in mind that would be awesome. thanks. |

so... i really never update this. i think i'm just becoming all around lazy. i got a new cell number and then i didnt even give it to anyone unless i had to call them for some other reason. so if you happen to read this and you don't have my number... email me or something. i'm not hiding out, i'm really just that lazy. one of these days i'll get around to sending out a mass text about it or something but i'm lame like that. i also dyed my hair reddish brownish last week and haven't taken a single photo even though people keep asking. i actually tried once but it wasn't good so i just said screw it. tonight i will take pictures, tonight i will take pictures, tonight i will take pictures...haha. other than that, everything is much the same, just with more working. which is good because i started paying off my loans this month. boooooooo school loans are evil. free money until 6 months after graduation. ah well. started hanging out with a guy again who i was dating but it basically didn't work out because he's completely insecure and high maintenance... hmmmm... again?? why do i always end up dating these guys. what the hell. questioning the wisdom of that move but whatever. i get to see my little nicholas tonight who has been in chicago all summer! when my will and grace ringtone went off i almost didn't think it was my phone, since just about all of my gay friends have moved to europe. however, i might start singing at a gay bar in town in the near future... i'm sure that can only be a good career move, considering how the gays just love me. well.... its party time. yay for actually doing something interesting on a friday night. yay. |

last night was completely hilarious. after drinking all afternoon at work, i went home and andrew and i headed out to lakeside (yes, lakeside) to a party. haha. thats just funny in itself really. so basically the goal of everyone at the party was to get completely wasted and then get laid. mine and andrews goal was just to get out of there in time to get some mexican food on the way home and watch an episode of queer as folk. which was indeed accomplished. however, before that happened i managed to nearly get kidnapped by a lesbian who was trying to hook up with me, and to get a lecture from a random drunk girl about how i should have sex with her 18 year old friend. now, i'll admit he happened to be the hottest guy at the party. however, that doesn't change the fact that i'm not about to go around hooking up with 18 year olds. that is just unacceptable. she tried to convince me for a solid hour though, finding me again every time i would escape. i don't exactly know why she was so determined, there were plenty of girls there drunk enough to sleep with him in a split second. maybe it was the challenge. andrew was thoroughly amused by the whole thing as well. so at one point i told the little boy that he should come to my work and i would set him up with one of my nice young co-workers, carla. haha. little did i know he would actually show up at my work at 11 this morning. it turned out to be quite the humorous day. tonight, i'm just going to stay home, where its safe.... |

so i got a call yesterday morning for a gig. even though my voice is crap because of allergies, i had to take it. so basically i'd better be all better by tomorrow. because the gig is on saturday, and it is at the most fabulous of gay bars here in san diego. the time has come to begin my bette midler-esque rise to fame. heh. because you know the gays love me. ok ok, its not that big a deal, but it will be a super fun time, because i love this bar. they have the greatest martinis ever. i swear each martini has half a bottle of liquor in it. i've seen them pour them. anyhow. and tomorrow is the cd release party at lestats, which has the potential to be fun, especially if we make it out to the ould sod afterwards or something, but is more likely to just be stressful. we shall see. |

| family reunion |

so i was in ohio all weekend for a family reunion. basically a bunch of people i had never met, and others that i hadn't seen since i was 12.
i basically dreaded it ever since we booked the flight. mainly because it was in ohio, but also because its hard to get excited about seeing people you don't even know. well i guess not necessarily, but for some reason it was just weird. anyhow, i have to say that i wish it hadn't been so short. go figure. |
